Thunder Wolf Racing would like to thank Confederation College's Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Technology (AMET) and Mechanical Engineering Technology programs for becoming gold sponsors. The AMET program has provided invaluable assistance in manufacturing our fully carbon fiber aerodynamics package in their state-of-the-art TEC hub.
The Mechanical Engineering Technology program has helped us greatly with the use of their plasma and laser cutters to help us manufacture our pedal-box and airfoil molds.

Featured member Devin Harmsen is a member of our Chassis subteam. Earlier this year he made a 3D scanned model of our engine to study its use as a stress member. He has helped at every stage of chassis design and fabrication, and has helped other subteams with their welding.

Throwback to TWR-01's news feature! Our very first team, they won the Rookie of the Year award at the 2009 competition and ranked 2nd out of all Ontario teams. This year, we made a point of connecting with these alumni to learn about the challenges they faced founding this project and building the first car. We were inspired by their wisdom and fond memories of the project. We can't wait to make all TWR alumni proud when we go to competition this year.

Featured member, Edison Su, is part of our Suspension subteam. He has a great work ethic, putting in lots of time at the machine shop to make sure the suspension components get completed. He went above and beyond by contacting local suppliers for sponsorships, wrote up a bill of materials for easy purchasing, and drove all the way down to the border to pick up parts.

Thunder Wolf Racing would like to thank Lakehead ESS for becoming a platinum sponsor. The Engineering Student Society of Lakehead University has been extremely supportive of our team from the start. They do an excellent job of advocating for the outstanding engineering students we have here at Lakehead, and we are proud to call them a sponsor.
We are beyond excited to represent Lakehead Engineering at the Formula SAE Michigan competition in May.

Thunder Wolf Racing would like to thank Confederation College's Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Technology program for sponsoring our team. They are giving us access to their TEC Hub, which houses state of the art equipment that will allow us to manufacture our aerodynamics package to the highest possible standard. We would also like to thank Brock White Thunder Bay for providing us with the foam used to create our molds.

This past week we disassembled last year's car after completing testing. Brakes and Safety identified some key areas that we can improve the braking system in. We have placed the steel order for the new chassis after making improvements on last years design. At this point in the year, we are slightly ahead of schedule.

A few team members got together to get the old TWR-14 car back up and running! It sounds greats but has its faults. This allowed for the Powertrain team to look into previous issues and areas of improvement. Our Powertrain team is also working on getting our Dynamometer powered up to tune in house! Audio clips below to hear the CBR600 roar.

TWR-15 is off to a great start - all sub-teams have been established and have been meeting weekly. We have an excellent group of students that we will showcase here throughout the year. Stay tuned for more updates...
